Meghan Markle has received a brutal blow after a new poll showed that royal fans do not want the duchess to make solo trips to the UK.

Earlier this month, Prince Harry came to Britain for a jam-packed five days of public engagemenTS.

This included Invictus Games events – ahead of the 2027 competition in Birmingham next year – and other charitable visits, including to a children’s hospital.

His wife Meghan Markle, 44, was set to join him on some of these engagements, but this didn’t go ahead.

This is because of security concerns, meaning that his wife and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, only flew into the UK towards the end of the week for private family time in Britain.

With Harry’s public engagements this month seemingly helping improve his public image to some extent, many may be wondering whether Meghan could also see her public image improve if she were to do the same in the UK.

Before this month, Meghan had not set foot in her husband’s home country since 2022.

This led us at the Daily Express to launch a poll asking readers whether Meghan Markle should make solo visits in the UK.

The poll ran from 10am on July 21 until 11am on July 22.

The results were a brutal blow to Meghan, with 3557 people voting “no” – meaning they don’t think Meghan should make solo visits to the UK.

Only 51 people answered “yes” – suggesting they want Meghan to make solo visits in the UK – while 16 said they don’t know.

These results will be a brutal blow for Meghan, suggesting that Brits aren’t keen to see more of her in Harry’s home country – or at least not by herself anyhow.
