On November 10, 2019, this CCTV footage was captured outside an Australian airport.
A woman and a man, it seems like they’re fighting.
More than a week after the incident, one of these two Filipinos will die in a stabbing.
This is the story and case of Jenny Nedula and Ronnie Apostol.
Ronnie was born in 1966 in the Philippines.
Not much is known about him.
Aside from living in Australia, he is also reported to work for Kaleidoscope International, a market research firm.
The said company is owned by his long-term girlfriend Jenny.
Their jobs are the reason why they often stay and travel outside the Philippines like New York and Sydney.
Aside from their business trips, they also often vacation in Paris, Santorini, and it was also reported that the two enjoyed skydiving in Dubai.
If you were the one to look at their photos or hear about their success in their careers, you would say that they are perfect for each other.
But people will be surprised because at 5 pm on November 17, 2019, authorities responded to a call from the two’s house on Alto Street in South Wentworthville because emergency services received a report that Ronnie was no longer breathing in the kitchen when his body was found.
They thought it was just an accident, but when they turned the body over, they immediately elevated it to homicide because there was a knife embedded in his chest.
He could not be taken to the hospital due to the severity of his injuries.
He was declared dead on the spot.
They immediately considered the interior of the house as a crime scene.
The forensic team carefully examined every corner of it and found the knife used in accordance with the normal protocol of the authorities.
They also brought Jenny to the precinct for questioning.
In the video clip of Jenny’s interview at the police station, she admitted that she was the first to see Ronnie’s body because she was with him in the house, but she said that this wound was not caused by a stab wound but because of Ronnie’s accident when he was installing the electric fan.
The electric fan allegedly fell.
And the heavy object hit her head causing her to lose consciousness.
Investigators scratched their heads at her words, but because they didn’t have enough evidence, Jenny was temporarily released while their investigation continued the next day.
Authorities formed a task force called Strike Force Roof to quickly crack the case.
In their press release, they said they were still waiting for the official coroner’s report and also asked the public for help with information about what happened.
After weeks of seemingly nothing happening in the case, investigators rushed to the house located on Rod Road, Lumia.
They were granted a search warrant by a judge because after their quiet, meticulous, and patient questioning of the suspect’s possible identity, they discovered that his long-term girlfriend, Jenny, may have been involved.
In addition to searching his house, authorities also took him back to the Camptown Police Station for a second interview.
There, he again denied any involvement in what happened to Ronnie.
He told investigators that even though he had mental health problems, he could not kill the only man he loved.
But whatever Jenny’s reasons, the authorities charged her with murder because they were confident they had enough evidence to prove that Jenny was the only person with a motive to kill Ronnie.
The next day, the judge who held the bail hearing denied the party bail because he believed that Jenny was mentally unstable and could pose a significant threat to public safety.
At her arraignment on July 1, 2021, Jenny pleaded “Not Guilty” and denied the allegations made by the authorities.
In addition to the “Not Guilty” plea in the murder case, she also pleaded “Not Guilty” in the assault case.
When the trial began, the public not only learned about the true events of November 17, 2019, but also about Jenny and Ronnie’s complicated relationship.
In court, her camp argued that while the couple had problems in their relationship like anyone else, that did not prove that Jenny had anything to do with what happened to Ronnie.
When he appeared before the jury, his story changed again and he shared that when he woke up on the morning of November 17, 2019, he found the victim in the kitchen and Ronnie was allegedly joking with him that he was going to stab himself.
In the middle of the conversation, he suddenly felt everything and stabbed himself in the chest with a knife.
Ronnie’s body fell to the floor and before he could react, he was no longer responding to him.
In cross-examination, he repeatedly denied that he stabbed Ronnie.
When given the chance by the crown prosecutor to speak, they said that Jenny alone had the motive to get rid of her boyfriend.
The first angle they said why she killed Ronnie was because she was brokenhearted.

This is Jenny and you can see that she is very angry and shouting at Ronnie.
There was another point where she hit her boyfriend on the head and you can’t really see it in the camera quality, but the video caught her throwing Ronnie’s cellphone.
The prosecutor said that before the fight between the two that was caught on video, they arrived in Sydney happily, but in the middle of their exit from the airport, Jenny discovered that Ronnie was cheating on her with another woman.
She was even more hurt by what she found out because the relationship between the two had not been revealed before.
Ronnie and Viva were in a relationship, a nurse based in the Philippines named Viva.
If you read the various reports on the internet, you will see that there is conflict about the length of Ronnie and Viva’s relationship; some reports say they have been in a relationship for eight years, while others say it has been nine years.
Regardless of the exact year or duration of their relationship, it’s clear that Jenny isn’t the only woman in Ronnie’s life.
The revelations really shocked Jenny, so much so that she locked herself in the airport bathroom for several hours.
According to the report, she was crying and during their phone conversation, she warned Ronnie that she wouldn’t come out of the bathroom until he broke up with Viva.
According to Jenny’s sister, she spoke to her sister while she was emotional and crying in the bathroom.
She shared that for Jenny, Ronnie was just using her as an ATM just to support his woman in the Philippines.
Although the two had a difficult conversation, she said that they made up and returned to their house on Alto Street together.
But if everyone was shocked, Ronnie’s revelation that he has a woman shocked the judges again because they learned that Jenny and Viva are not the only women in Ronnie’s life.
It turns out that Ronnie is married and he is already married.
In 2011, his wife was Geraldine, who lives in the United States.
The prosecutor shared with the jurors that during their back-check, they discovered that Ronnie and Jenny’s secret relationship began in 2013.
That was also the time when they often went out of the Philippines together because of their work.
In court, a witness testified that even though Geraldine knew and discovered her husband’s adultery, she did not immediately file for divorce.
But the revelation did not end there in Ronnie’s complicated relationship as it was also revealed during the trial that Jenny was also married.
The jurors also learned that her husband Jonathan Olivarez is Ronnie’s brother-in-law.
The prosecutor said that despite the secret relationship, the two tried to have children and went through many IVF treatmenTS. But they also failed several times until in 2018, Jenny successfully became pregnant, but their happiness was quickly cut short because in December of the same year, the baby was miscarried.
The prosecutor said that the morning Jenny found out she had miscarried, she blamed Ronnie for the stress he was putting on her.
Since then, the two’s relationship has become increasingly strained and at one point, Jenny asked Ronnie how he could say he loved her when everything he did was the reason she was suffering.
Before the end of 2018, Jenny was diagnosed with medial nerve palsy, which left her with difficulty moving her left hand.
The loss of the baby and Ronnie’s failure to file for divorce from her husband added to Jenny’s stress.
Ronnie’s wife, Geraldine, also took the witness stand to say that a week after the fight between him and Jenny at the airport, Ronnie got angry and contacted her because he wanted to make up and return to their family,but he said in court that their family would never be reunited and their children would be fatherless because Jenny was selfish.
The prosecution presented the results of the forensic team’s investigation of the entire house and found no DNA other than that of Ronnie and Jenny.
They convinced the jury that the absence of any other DNA would prove that Jenny was the only person who could have stabbed Ronnie.
The prosecutor also did everything to convince the jury that it was impossible for Ronnie to commit suicide by stabbing himself because he was in the middle of a reconciliation with his wife.
During cross-examination, the prosecutor played Jenny’s recorded interview to show how her accounts varied.
She can be seen and heard saying that when they got home from the airport, he kept apologizing.
He allegedly kept promising to leave his woman and to prove that his promises were true, the two went out on November 14 and Jenny called that day “the perfect date.” They went out and went to Parramatta, an area in New South Wales where some of the historical buildings are located.
After touring the city, they went to the Reject Shop where he bought her earrings.
From the shop, they went to KFC for a bite to eat and then returned to their home on Alto Street in South Wentworthville.
They continued their fun by drinking Moscato, which for those unfamiliar is a type of sweet wine.
They allegedly drank more and Ronnie invited her to dance even without background music.
Something happened to them that she described as “the best of their lives.” The next morning, she allegedly found Ronnie in the kitchen with a knife in her hand and stabbed herself in the chest.
She said she thought he was just joking, but when she realized the seriousness of the situation, she allegedly called emergency services.
Her inconsistent statements were used by the prosecution to attack her character and credibility.
In Jenny’s defense, they said she could not remember what actually happened on the morning of Ronnie’s death.
Her camp said their client was experiencing “substantial impairment.” This impairment was not said to be a serious mental health condition that caused her to develop an abnormality in her brain.
It was said that part of Jenny’s brain “blacked out,” which would explain why she could not remember her actions.
They said that the loss of the baby in her womb, Ronnie’s failure to divorce her legal husband, and Ronnie’s eight or nine-year relationship were the reasons why Jenny’s mental health condition deteriorated to the point that she could no longer remember what really happened on the day Ronnie died.
When the court asked Jenny’s camp to present evidence, they submitted psychological evidence,but it was not accepted because the psychologist diagnosed her with Borderline Personality Disorder.
According to the expert, this condition does not cause “substantial impairment,” contrary to what Jenny’s camp claims.
The trial ended when Jenny accepted a plea deal from the prosecutor in exchange for her guilty plea.
The case was reduced to manslaughter.

But if you’re new to this channel, I’ll explain the difference between the two.
The defendant’s intention in Jenny’s guilty plea to the manslaughter case was that she stabbed Ronnie but she had no intention of killing.
After pleading guilty, an online petition was created for Jenny.
As of this recording, people have already signed to show their support because they believe Jenny is a good person.
Even though she entered a plea, her sentence will be read next month.
